Located in the oldest village in the White Mountains, our historic home was once the residence of Admiral Robert E. Peary, arctic explorer and discoverer of the North Pole. Although close to the bustle of North Conway, the house sits away from it all on a tranquil two acres of beautiful lawns, woods and perennial gardens. Our 7 tastefully decorated and quiet guest rooms feature king or queen beds and private baths, with gas fireplaces and whirlpool tubs in some. Two rooms interconnect, providing excellent accommodation for families or two couples traveling together. The spacious living room combines warmth and comfort with a massive fireplace, ample seating and regulation billiards table. Our intimate parlor is a quiet place to read or reflect, and the three-season enclosed porch overlooking the lawns is the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon's nap. For Breakfast, savour the aromas and tastes of Derreks beautifully prepared and presented food, featuring innovative and traditional cuisine from around the world. The White Mountains and Maine lakes offer year-round activities such as hiking, biking, antiquing, shopping, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. Surrounded by beautiful lakes, mountains and rivers, our home is the perfect getaway spot year-round.
