The farm house is part of Los Huemules, a new land development project that seeks to create homes and tourism facilities with minimal impact on the Patagonian environment. Los Huemules is reached by following Provincial Route 23 north from El Chalten approx. 17 km/10.6 miles in the direction of Lago del Desierto. It’s approx. a 35-minute drive on a gravel road. From Aoni Yenu it’s approx. 2 km/1.2 miles to the Los Huemules visitors centre, where you can find the starting points of 5 hiking trails, which offer spectacular views of the north face of Cerro Fitz Roy, the Cagliero and Marconi glaciers, and Diablo, Azul, and Verde Lakes. The Marconi Pass, the most accessible route to the Southern Patagonia Ice Field, is at the western end of Los Huemules.
