The farmhouse "Colle San Giorgio" is open all year and located at 535 metres above sea level and offers a wonderful view from the Gran Sasso to the sea. We offer you six double rooms (obtained by the recent renovation of an old farmhouse from the 800). One room is equipped for disabled people. All rooms have TV and bathroom. In our cosy dining-room, guests can enjoy breakfast with homemade jams and local honey, biscuits and cakes and all the typical dishes of the traditional kitchen Abruzzese. The place is ideal for organising trips into the mountains or to the sea (both distant ± 25 Km). Also possible are montainbiking and relaxing walks along the old mountain paths. You can enjoy several sports like bowls, archery and troutfishing in Farindola (± 15 km). Nearby an archeological excavation has revealed the remains of an Italic Temple: the theme of the book "Il Tempio Italico di Colle San Giorgio" by G. Iaculli. Easy to reach are interesting historical towns like Penne, Atri and Castelli with its famous ceramics. Also the museum of arts and traditions in Picciano; the Natural Oasis Park at Penne; the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti Della Laga. The 30 hectares of land are cultivated strictly biologically. We also keep cows and courtyard animals like chickens, ducks and goats. Behind the old farmhouse you can admire a centuries-old millstone; in progress a small exhibition of objects of daily use of ancient traditions. We speak German and English. How to arrive: Exit from the A14 ‘Pescara Nord – Citta Sant’Angelo’ , turn right and follow the directions 'Castiglione M.R.'. Go straight ahead for approximately 25 km. Turn left to 'S.
