Bacchus is a large elevated modern house with views of the sea and harbour in the popular old fishing village of Mevagissey. It is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and offers excellent accommodation at a very reasonable cost. We also have parking for our guests. We have a total of four en-suite bedrooms - all available as doubles or twins. Each of the rooms have colour television, refreshment tray and hair dryer. Three of our guest rooms are totally separate from the owners accommodation, all of these rooms being on the ground floor and may be described as 'disabled' friendly. From these rooms, there is also direct access into the dining area which is fully equipped with separate tables, fridge, microwave, crockery, utensils, kettle, teapot etc. Guests are quite welcome to come and go as they please and use the facilities for meals if they so wish. Breakfast is set out in a buffet style. Compote of fruit, Yoghurts, grapefruit, orange juice, cereals, ham, cheeses, tomatoes, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs to your liking, toast, jams, marmite, tea and coffee. Immediately outside the dining area, there is a sun patio with seating for the sole use of guests, the view across Mevagissey and the harbour is excellent. Many bottles of wine have been enjoyed by our guests watching the sun go down. Smoking is permitted on the sun patio. Many guests walk into the village of an evening and enjoy a meal or drink in one of the many restaurants and pubs. The village offers:A wide variety of shops/restaurants/take-aways/pubs/tea rooms. A picturesque harbour where a variety of pastimes can be enjoyed. Fishing for mackerel/pollock/mullet from the harbour wall. Deep sea fishing.
