Location The club resort enjoys an excellent location near the beautifully preserved mediaeval town of Obidos and very close to the white sandy banks of the country's largest lagoon. Access to public transport is around 10 km away, and the bus and train stations are some 25 km away. The beach is approximately 6 km from the resort. It is less than 50 minutes from Portela International Airport of Lisbon (about 85 km). Facilities Developed as a model of excellence, with contemporary architecture as the cornerstone of its concept. A group of highly qualified architects, both Portuguese and foreign, developed an innovative concept: contemporary architecture blended into the landscape. Built in 2008, this air-conditioned, family-friendly resort welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service and a hotel safe. Younger guests can let off steam in the children's playground and kids' club, whilst the cafe and restaurant provide dining options. Guests may also take advantage of the WLAN Internet access and laundry service. Those arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the car park or garage, and bicycle hire is available on site. Rooms The resort offers design townhouses with 1, 2 or 3 comfortable bedrooms, a cosy living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and a relaxing terrace overlooking the condominium's swimming pool and garden. Each accommodation unit is en suite and equipped a shower/bathtub, hairdryer, double bed, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, free wireless Internet access and a safe. The kitchens are fitted with a fridge, cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. An ironing set is also provided, and all units feature air conditioning and heating as standard. Sports/Entertainment Within the premises guests may play a challenging round of golf in the resort's own 18-hole championship golf course (fees apply), enjoy a fun game of tennis or paddle tennis, or take a relaxing swim in the outdoor heated swimming pool. Children can also have a great time at the resort with a separate children's swimming area and lots of space to play on in the gardens, playground, football pitch and multi-use space. Sun loungers have been laid out ready for use. Within minutes from the resort, there are a great number of outdoor activities to enjoy. Fishing, snorkelling or canoeing (fees apply) are only a few of the many options available at the Obidos Lagoon. The National Reserve in the surroundings invites guests to use the hiking, cycling and horse riding routes. Cycling and horse riding incur extra fees. Water sports available for additional fees include waterskiing, jet skiing, diving, surfing, windsurfing, motor boating, banana boating and sailing. The resort provides entertainment programmes for both children and adults (fees apply). Sun loungers and parasols are available on the nearby sandy beach. Meals There is a unique beach restaurant as well as a provisional restaurant and club house coffee shop within the resort. Now under construction and soon to be available are the following restaurants: a take-away service, bar and coffee shop in the commercial area, tennis club house restaurant and a golf club house restaurant. How to get there From Lisbon Airport (85 km, including 71 km of motorway): at the roundabout at the exit of the airport, follow the signs to A8 Oeste and head towards A8 Leiria for 65 km. Take exit 13 toward A-DA-GORDA and continue towards Amoreira (follow the red Bom Sucesso signs) for 3 km. At Amoreira turn right in the direction of VAU/BOM SUCESSO and continue for 4 km until the Obidos Lagoon. The resort is located there.
