This is bed and breakfast at its best. Whether you want an overnight stop or a special break, you are assured of superb hospitality in a comfortably luxurious home. From its spacious stylish rooms and bathrooms to the delicious breakfasts using locally sourced or home grown food (you might even hear the hens clucking!), Broadhayes is a lovely place to stay. The house has spectacular views and extensive landscaped gardens. Guests are invited to relax in the quiet surroundings and enjoy genuine warm hospitality spiced with touches of luxury. Each bedroom has a luxury shower or bathroom, fresh flowers, bathrobes, a well stocked beverage tray with a variety of teas, ground coffee and fresh milk, and doors leading to terraces and the garden. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the garden, with its sunny terraces and shady corners, and to relax in the cosy sitting room with its flat screen tv, ample supply of magazines, books and music, and doors leading to a wisteria terrace. There is free broadband and wifi too. And of course, we want our guests to enjoy breakfast in the dining room with its wonderful views over to Dartmoor. Served at a time to suit, it includes seasonal fruits, local or home-baked breads and nice culinary touches to the traditional English breakfast. Broadhempston, a treasure of a village with very little traffic, no street lamps (so look out for a sky full of stars on clear nights), a primary school, ancient church, community shop and two thriving pubs, is a great place for a relaxed amble. Yet it's within a few miles of the exquisite South Devon coast, the wilds of Dartmoor, the spectacularly beautiful River Dart, the Elizabethan transition town of Totnes and the bright lights of Torquay, Plymouth and Exeter. Just three miles away is Dartington Hall with its renowned annual music and literature festivals, and there are countless entertainment centres for all the family within easy driving distance. Outdoors, there's golf, walking, fishing and boating. For foodies, theres everything from quality snacks to top class eateries. So, enough said! You are warmly invited to come and stay, and see for yourself what we have to offer.
