Cartref 4 star Guest House is located within the ancient town walls of spectacular Caernarfon Castle. It is a delightful 18th Century town house built by a Scottish Baronet. Cartref retains many of its original features including some very special carved, Welsh slate fireplaces with magnificent cast iron inserts and the owners, Mary and Roger have just completed a total refurbishment simpathetically carried out in keeping with the character of this beautiful house. The town centre, shops and restaurants are just 2 minutes away and there are numerous museums, galleries and theatres within easy reach. ( The Galeri Theatre - Caernarfon is two minutes walk.) The countryside of Snowdonia is also close by for walking, cycling, sailing, outdoor pursuits and there are many amazing beaches with rock pools close by. And, there are many opportunities for fishing and golf set amongst dramatic scenery. The guest house is just two minutes walk from the banks of the picturesque Menai Straight, opposite the Isle of Anglesey with spectacular sunset views ans a fabulously located pub at the waters edge. Cartref has a reputation for its welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and the high quality of accommodation, food and service offered to its guests in this newly and sensitively refurbished Georgian house. Cartref is an unhurried and comfortable space where its owners take pride in providing food to savour, freshly cooked to order from their A la carte breakfast menu.
