The house sits majestically at the end of a half mile driveway and is set in eight acres of mature woodlands, which also boasts a private nine hole pitch and putt. Coul House is the perfect place to rediscover the romance and beauty of the Highlands with 21 en-suite bedrooms, a charming and unique octagonal restaurant and many other homely features that adds to the ambiance of the hotel. All 21 En suite bedrooms consisting of four lower ground floor and 17 first floor bedrooms have bath and shower, and equipped with all modern appliances. All bedrooms have stunning views of the Strathconon Valley and the mountains beyond or the mature woodlands and hillside. The grand octagonal shape restaurant which is the centrepiece of the hotel, with an intricately stuccoed ceiling, complete with Greek key, thistle and Celtic knot motifs. Often in the evening you will see beautiful sunsets through the three ceiling to floor windows which offer fabulous views of the surrounding area. Both a grill and an a la carte menu are available, offering contemporary gourmet meals with an imaginative menu. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible, often featuring Scottish Game, local Salmon homemade breads, pastries and delightful desserts. The small village of Contin sits on the banks of the river Conon and is a fantastic spot for nature lovers with attractions including the Achility Forest with miles of bike and walking trials, Rogie Waterfalls with salmon leaping throughout the summer, secluded lochs including the famous Loch Ness and abundant wildlife combined with the stunning views over Strathconon Valley.
