A medieval farmstead in a magical setting. Surrounded by 75 acres of idyllic Kentish countryside, Elvey Farm is the perfect hideaway from the modern world. It's at the end of a winding lane, with stunning views over the fields. The farm has been here since 1406, and is packed full of period features. But this is no ordinary farmyard. Expect the very latest in accommodation, with beautifully appointed rooms and modern bathrooms. Suites in the Stable Block have their own private entrances and most have living rooms - all rooms are ensuite. Spend the day exploring the bridleways and walks around the farm, and a spot of lunch in one of the many village pubs. Why not bring your dog? There's plenty of space for them to run around. Then watch the sun set on the terrace, with a glass of champagne and only the sheep for company. In the evening, dine in our restaurant in the sixteenth century barn, and chat to other guests in our bar, before a peaceful night's sleep under ancient beams. Then in the morning, enjoy a fresh local breakfast with sausage and bacon from the village, and eggs from our own hens. Plus tea and coffee from Pluckley's very own Coffee Company. Pluckley was chosen as the location for ITV's Darling Buds of May, and it's easy to see why. The village hasn't changed a jot in centuries. Wherever you look, there are Oast Houses, orchards, hop gardens and fields. It's exactly as Pa Larkin left it - and just an hour from London. Elvey Farm combines rustic beauty with boutique living - it's quiet, it's breathtakingly beautiful - and you'll find the service is second to none. Our meat is from local farms, our fruit and vegetables are from our own gardens when in season, and our eggs are from our own hens. Elvey Farm has been run by locals for centuries. That's why we say it's Kentish to the Core.
