The Residencial Por do Sol is a Cape-Verdian family home, situated in the quiet village of Cidade Velha. It is the most historical site in the whole of Cabo Verde. With the first catholic church in Africa. Apart from the fortress and other sites the village is in a very tropical setting. Lush greenery and valleys full of vegetation to be discovered. The coastline has a few small beaches. This new pension offers 5 well furnished en-suite rooms. There is a also a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea. The swimming pool is on the terrace and a snackbar. The rooms are equipped with airconditioning, TV, telephone and minibar. It is a beautiful and quiet place. The village is reachable by car or taxi in about 5 minutes. The city of Praia is about half an hour drive away. Cidade Velha offers many different spots of hiking, sunbathing and relaxing all in a still untouched and authentic ambiente.
