Situated on a croft on the west coast of Lewis, Galson Farm Bunkhouse overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. It is an ideal base for exploring the island's sandy beaches, mountains and burns, either on foot or by bicycle. (Cycle hire is available in Stornoway). Galson Farm Guest House lies on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, twenty miles (32km) from Stornoway and eight miles (13km) from the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse. The farm is part of a crofting village where Gaelic is the everyday language. The shore lies just a short walk through the croft and is ideal for fishing, birdwatching and beach combing, with views of the Butt of Lewis. By road, follow the A857 from Stornoway towards Port of Ness. The Isle of Lewis can be reached by Air or Sea on regular services.
