Built in the early 1800s, the Green Farm Mansion was the center piece of the Green Farm at Falls of Rough during the community's era of grandeur in the 1800s and early 1900s. US Congressman Willis Green, who served in the US House of Representatives for three consecutive terms in the 1840s, built the famed structure. It has now been restored in the form of a nine-bedroom bed and breakfast. The facility is furnished with antiques and all the structural fixtures in the mansion have been restored to their authentic state. The mansion has a quiet reading area and a large fireplace. Or relax on the spacious patio. Stories of spirited evening dinners and family gatherings highlight the charm of the mansion during Lafayette and Ella's tenure. Their four siblings continued with the evening tradition as dinner was served by uniformed attendants with fine china displayed on the table. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature antique furnishings, cable TV, coffeemakers (some rooms), and private bathrooms. Each bedroom has been filled with elaborate mahogany Victorian beds. Elite rugs compliment the refurbished hardwood floors. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
