Holnicote House lies in a 12,500-acre estate in the Horner Valley, half a mile from Selworthy in Exmoor National Park. Just a short walk from the house is Dunkery Beacon, a vantage point over miles of heather and upland, with cliffs and beaches a short drive away. The house, designated as non-smoking, has 35 bedrooms located in the main building and attractive cottages in the grounds, equipped with a hairdryer, clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Flatscreen TVs are provided in the bedrooms. Non en-suite rooms are also available. A heated outdoor swimming pool is available for guests from May to September inclusive, as well as a putting green and croquet lawn. Indoors, guests can relax in the two lounges or bar. Accommodation through LateRooms is on a BandB basis. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. A three-course dinner is available on request at a price of £22.95 and served at 7 to 7.30pm. Please contact the house if you wish to have dinner on your night of arrival. All meals are served in an informal, friendly atmosphere at tables for up to 10 guests. Free car parking is available. Please notify the Country House in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. The national park location makes Holnicote House an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday. Other nearby attractions include Lynton and Lynmouth cliff railway and Hestercombe Gardens.
