In the early 1900’s the house belonged to a well known local author, Christopher Bush (pseudonym Michael Home) who wrote about his recollections of his childhood in the village of Great Hockham. He also wrote award winning detective novels. Over the last three years, the owners, Wendy and David, have sympathetically renovated the entire house and landscaped the gardens, drawing on inspiration from research and the National Trust!
