The Villa Retiro Resort hotel is located in the village of Xerta, in the immediate vicinity of the centre and links to the public transport network. It was designed by the architect Josep Fontser I Mestres, mentor of the world-famous Anton Gaud, in a modern colonial style. The hotel is surrounded by sprawling gardens with waterfalls, lakes, and small streams, and is altogether a joy to the senses.
