Originally built in 1859 in the style of a French chateau, the Oakley Court Hotel has a rich and uniquely colourful history. It is believed to have been used as the English Headquarters of the French Resistance during World War II, whilst it was (slightly) more recently the setting for the popular St. Trinians films. This fully air-conditioned hotel has a total of 117 rooms and its amenities include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and a cloakroom. The hotel also has a bar, restaurant, a games room and Internet access. Room and laundry services are provided, whilst guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the nearby car park. Located just outside beautiful Windsor, this country hotel is also a mere 45 minutes away from London. It is a quiet haven set in 14 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds with serene gardens gently winding down to the banks of the meandering River Thames.
