There are numerous walking & cycling routes in the National Park and the adjacent Tamar Valley to suit all levels of ability & fitness. You can start your walk or cycle on Drakes Trail which runs just 50 meters from our door proving you really can have a great car free day out. There are also several circular walking & cycling routes off the trail taking you to Buckland Abbey, Burrator Reservoir & Clearbrook to name just a few. There is more to Dartmoor than just walking & cycling, within easy reach you have access to activities such as gliding, kayaking, paragliding, horse riding, reservoir, fly and coarse fishing and golfing to name but a few. For those of you who enjoy less energetic pastimes there are farmers markets, historic houses, museums, craft shops & galleries, gardens and interesting churches to visit.
