Classification: 4 Star Hotel
Located within the walls of the ancient medina Palais Amani is just a few minutes walk from the famed Golden Triangle which is bounded by the ninth century mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Kairouine university, considered to be the oldest in the world, and the mausoleum of Sidi Ahmed Tijani. Traditional ArchitectureMuch of the old palace was rebuilt between 1928 and 1930 hence the art deco influences found throughout Palais Amani. This theme has been respected in the choice of decor, creating an atmosphere of purity and opulence. At its heart, aromatic flower beds planted with citrus trees are set around a spectacular mosaic fountain creating a private paradise in which to escape the bustle of the surrounding medina. One of the largest ryads in the medina, Palais Amani underwent a three year restoration to repair and replace the intricate mosaic, stained glass, plaster carving and woodwork that one would expect in a Moroccan listed building. During that time, all the modern comforts were installed making the ryad the luxury hotel that it is today. Palais Amani is spacious enough to respect your privacy whilst being sufficiently intimate to give you the personal attention you deserve. AccommodationOur suites and rooms are equipped with a private sound system and wifi connection and the majority have televisions. All have embroidered linen, luxury bathrobes and complimentary Moroccan slippers. Gastronomy Using their knowledge of traditional recipes, our chefs combine a genuine understanding of Moroccan cuisine with contemporary style. Given enough notice, individual dietary requirements or special requests can generally be catered for. WellbeingOur luxurious hammam complete with separate exfoliation room, showers and relaxation area allow you to benefit fully from this tradition. Our assistants will introduce you to the ritual of purification, and for those who are adept, they will make sure that your visit leaves you relaxed both in body and spirit. In addition to the Hammam we have a full range of massages and beauty treatments. The majority of our massages take place in one of massage rooms overlooking the garden, but the tented pergola on the roof terrace is a unique site for guests to enjoy massages and beauty treatments during the spring and autumn months.
