Exeter International Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 20 miles, Plymouth City Airport some 40 miles, Bristol Airport around 100 miles and Bournemouth Airport about 140 miles. Built next to the 17th century inn on the banks of the Teign estuary, this accommodation offers a modern, comfortable atmosphere whether staying for business or pleasure. There has been a hostelry on the site since Roman times. It was the site of a tidal ford and travellers would arrive and wait to cross the river. The hostelry became known as the passage way across the river, and this is still reflected in its current name. By car from Bristol via the M5: From the M5, continue forward onto the A38 (signposted Plymouth). Keep in the left-hand lane and merge onto the A380 (signposted Torquay). After approximately 12.9 km, take the A381 exit (signposted Teignmouth/Kingsteignton and The Racecourse). Take the third exit off the roundabout, following the racecourse sign into Kingsteignton. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Vicarage Hill A383. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Greenhill Way. Take the first left into Hackney Lane. The hotel sign can be seen at this junction. The hotel is situated at the bottom of the lane (under the road bridge) on the left.
