During the summer the Powderhorn provides a base from which visitors can explore two of New Zealand’s National Parks. In the winter ski months the Powderhorn’s heated swimming pool, on site ski and board shop, drying room and après ski facilities mean it is well suited to skiers and boarders visiting Turoa ski area. Onsite there is two restaurants and bars, swimming pool and snow hire centre. The hotel has 30 hotel suites with timbered interiors, queen-sized beds and large bathrooms and all are furnished with good quality linens and fabrics. Also available is an apartment that can sleep between six and eight adults. It has a large open plan living with a spacious private balcony featuring alfresco dining facilities overlooking the Mangawhero River and native bush.
