One of the most unique hotels in the country built within the original Quaker Oats silos and located on the University of Akron campus. The Inn resides within 36 grain silos – standing 120 feet tall – that once housed 1.5 million bushels of grain for the Quaker Oats Co. When the company ceased operations in Akron in 1970, the facility was converted to a hotel, which now is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and features a museum chronicling the transition from the Quaker Oats factory to a full service hotel. The Quaker Square Inn at The University of Akron is located on the corner of E. Mill Street and S. Broadway Street in downtown Akron.
