If you want to visit attractions further a field Rowan Cottage is superbly positioned for day visits to Cumbria and the Lake District, Scotland and Durham. The scenic town of Haltwhistle is four miles away, where there are a range of shops, a post office, banks and places to eat and drink. There is a train and bus service. The cottage is supplied with its own spring water and has ample parking. It is double-glazed, has oil central heating and a welcoming open fire. For your entertainment there is a flat screen, digital TV with radio and CD DVD. There is a private landscaped garden to the west of the property, with patio area where you can sit and enjoy the setting sun. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, and fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and dishwasher; as well as an amazing range of small equipment to enable you to cook anything from a simple snack to a gourmet meal.
