We are less than 2.5 miles from the pretty market town of Ilminster, very close to the A303 with good access to the A358 and the M5. Perhaps you are en route to Cornwall and want to break your journey? You may be in the area on a business trip or just want to discover the joys of Somerset . . . whatever your reason you are welcome here. The original slightlychaotic suite, a magical bedroom upstairs (king size bed and ensuite shower) and your own breakfastsitting room below, you can luxuriate in comfort and privacy. Wander through your french windows onto the sunny south-facing terrace where breakfast can be taken. A short drive takes you to Castle Neroche, run by the forestry commission and always beautiful with its miles of forest trails, huge beech hangers, veritable oceans of bluebells and acres of stately foxgloves. Equally close to home are enchanting National Trust gardens at Barrington Court and East Lambrook Manor, an evocative Cider Distillery at Burrow Hill with resident pig and John Leach's famous Muchelney Pottery and Gallery. Nearby Dillington House offers interesting courses, concerts and lectures. Forde Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery, makes for a lovely day out as does the wildlife park at Cricket St Thomas where you can wander through the woods with the Lemurs.
