Swiss Cottage is an ideal base for visiting the lovely coastal towns and villages nearby which include Aldeburgh and Thorpeness and Snape. Snape Maltings is also the home of the Famous concert hall developed by Benjamin Britten as a venue for classical music concerts. The Aldeburgh food festival is also held in the grounds of Snape Maltings every September featuring foods, stalls and displays by local producers and food enthusiasts.
