The Cricketers Arms in Rickling Green is a beautiful country pub with rooms on the doorstep of the rolling Essex countryside. Its halfway between Bishops Stortford Saffron Walden, only 12 minutes from Stansted Airport. Set in a wonderful warm red brick building overlooking the expanse of the green the historic cricket ground, the pubs the perfect place for a stop-off en route to or from the airport, a short break in the countryside or if youre in the area visiting friends or attending a wedding. Step foot through the door and youll find a cosy low-ceilinged oak beamed bar with a roaring log fire lots of comfy spots to enjoy a beer or glass of wine, a stylish restaurant serving great quality freshly cooked food, and pretty views over the green. Hot food is served all day on the menu is a wide choice of freshly cooked seasonal food - much of it sourced locally - a particularly good English breakfast to set you up for the day. There are real ales a thoughtfully chosen wine list with plenty of wines Champagnes to enjoy by the bottle or glass. The service is warm friendly. Upstairs, there are ten individually designed bedrooms all with en suite facilities. Some are modern with contemporary furnishings others more traditional with antique pieces.
