The Stilton Cheese Inn is a traditional, popular public house with a well patronised restaurant and comfortable, modern accommodation. The Stilton Cheese offers six en-suite bedrooms in our converted barns,all at ground floor level. One is suitable for a disabled person. All the rooms have king size beds, flat screen Free view TV, free wireless broadband, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries a hairdryer and a small safe. All bedrooms are non-smoking. Pets are not allowed except for guide dogs. Please select a room type below for further details. BREAKFAST is available from 7.00am with a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, toast with a selection of preserves and cooked breakfast with tea, coffee and fruit juice Prior to 1926 it was called The George and records date back to the early 16th century. The current building was constructed about 1800 and is a listed building. There are two bars offering a selection of draught and bottled lagers, real ale (e.g. Timothy Taylor Landlord, Jennings Cumberland), a selection of fine Malt Whiskies, brandies and other spirits, and a large wine list. The restaurant seats about 50 and is spread over four interconnecting rooms which contributes towards the friendly, intimate atmosphere. There is an extensive a-la-carte menu and a Specials board revised daily which lists a wide selection of fresh fish dishes and other specials (e.g. homemade pies and casseroles). On Sundays there are the traditional roasts sirloin of beef, leg of lamb, loin of pork. Fresh fish is delivered daily by Direct Seafoods and MJ Seafoods. Carlos also periodically buys at Billingsgate fish market. All meat products are sourced locally by RP Meats. Fruit and vegetables are from local suppliers. Stilton is about 5 miles south of Peterborough and is signposted at junction 16 (Norman Cross) on the A1(M). The Stilton Cheese Inn is on your left as you approach the centre of the village.
