A warm Yorkshire welcome to this wonderful 16th century coaching inn, conveniently located on Pickering's Market Place. The feel you get through the whole building is exactly what a traditional inn should be, simple but welcoming. The bar is a proper bar with roaring log fires and serves a choice of real ale from Yorkshire, it is well stocked to include at least twelve wines by the glass and a fine selection of malt whisky and liqeurs. The restaurant is truly traditional and has stone flagged floors and a roaring fire in winter to create the right atmosphere, candle lit at night for extra romance. It would be a shame to miss our restaurant - we have won an AA rosette consistently since 1997 and are also a favourite of the independent Good Food Guide, but remember tables for the restaurant must be booked in advance otherwise we can not guarantee a table. If you prefer a more casual dining experience then you are welcome to eat in the bar or lounge. The bedrooms are beyond expectations, designed only with your complete comfort in mind.
