Trapp Family Lodge is owned and managed by the von Trapps, one of the world's best known and beloved musical families. The von Trapps, the inspiration for the film, The Sound of Music, opened this stunning Austrian-style retreat a few years after settling in Vermont in the 1940s. Located in a picturesque, mountain setting overlooking the village of Stowe, the Trapp Family Lodge is one of Vermont's top resorts, with an authentic Austrian ambience and an array of year-round activities.
