West Coates is within a 5 minute walk of the railway station (Main East coast Line) a day trip to Edinburgh in 45 minutes, and a 2 minute car journey into the town centre or you can take a leisurely walk into town by the River Tweed. The beautiful unspoilt coastline, designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, together with the River Tweed and Cheviot Hills, are all on our doorstep and combine to make this a most memorable destination. The visitor to Berwick upon Tweed will find West Coates an excellent base from which to visit a variety of interesting places in the region all year round. There are numerous local attractions including the famous Border Abbeys, historic Castles including Alnwick, Bamburgh and Floors, and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
