Mill Cottages,in Yaxham are situated Mid-Norfolk making them an ideal location for touring the County of the 'big skies'. Access to the countryside, picturesque villages, market towns, the coast, the Broads and the ancient city of Norwich are all within easy driving distance. Dereham is only a couple of minutes drive, and this delightful market town offers a variety of shops including Tesco and Morrisons, both with petrol stations. The Town has numerous eating places, a cinema, library, leisure centre, ten pin bowling, museum and steam railway. The latter two have restricted openings. There are plenty of attractions for young and old alike, from Dinosaur Park, Banham Zoo, nature reserves, stately homes, gardens and nurseries. Outdoor activities include: walking, cycling, horse riding, sailing, Barnham Broom Golf Course is a few minutes drive away. Yaxham has a village shop, church, and public house, and is situated in a peaceful, rural environment. Mill Cottages are located next to the Mill Cafe/Public House and Restaurant which provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The Restaurant has a good reputation for its varied menu and excellent meals. The cottages are self catering, though meals can be booked at the restaurant. The properties were in a derelict state until they were converted and renovated in 1995.
